This xs400 built by the talented team over at motohangar has an eye catching and almost lotus f1 style black and gold paint job with gold wheels and an old 1950s amber foglight converted to work on a motorcycle. 1977 yamaha rd400 rd350 fuel tank the bike was completed in 2013 has multiple local show wins was two stroke world bike of the month for sept 2013 and featured in cafe racer magazine s readers rides section jan 2015. I ride it everyday tires are good runs good and is tagged.The humble yamaha xs400 isn t a bike that we see getting converted into cafe racer form all that often it seems a shame as the bike has serious potential. Started out as bone stock but now the original owner would hardly recognize it. I started this year on a genuine stella 150 scooter and now im jumping into the motorcycle arena. I take 300 to buy one 1982 and one 1977 yamaha xs400 and use all the parts i can plus some ebay extras to make a fully functioning cafe racer. This bike is just out of a most impressive collection and has been looked after by one of ct ny s premier m c mechanics.
1977 yamaha xs400 i have an original xs400 with a little less than 3 600 miles. I have a box of spare parts along with a partial parts bike with two tires that are fairly new. 1977 yamaha xs400 found the original bike locally inexpensive as it was not running but had only 7k miles and tank was in perfect condition. It was built for a fun project and for personal use as largely an in town bike literally to go to the coffee shop but also health club etc.
This auction buynow is held by our partner ebay. This bike features alloy rims manx front mudguard 2 1 exhaust ds headlight rear sets and flat tracker seat. It s been a fair weather rider with probably 500 miles on it since completed. Aug 19 2009 1 well guys new to the forums and motorcycles altogether.
